SALES OPERATIONS MANILA: STRONG AT 5
SALES OPERATIONS MANILA: STRONG AT 5

By Catrina Lopez

October 2019 marks the 5th year anniversary of Realage Sales Operations Manila and the celebration was nothing short of fun, excitement and surprises.

To kick off the event, Jhay-ar Taneo rendered a doxology. This was followed by a very welcoming opening remarks from the newly promoted Team Lead Cherry Tuazon.

Everyone was all ears as Jill Munion, Clarence Mangalos, Jaybee Benosa, Ryan Co and Senior Team Lead Andi Molano shared their experiences of the humble beginnings of Sales Ops. Director for Sales, Elfin Ancheta also shared his thoughts of how a team changes its dynamics as it grows in number. Senior VP’s Jack Webber and Yoric De Deken, and Sales Ops Analyst Robin Barker also sent their messages through video clips.

Humble Beginnings

The Sales Ops MNL story began in 2014 when one man believed that putting up a Lead Generation/Sales Team in Manila was going to be a success. John Yager, together with the help of Jessica Hodnick, were never more right. Over time the numbers grew as more people were needed. John and Jessica had to visit the Manila site every quarter to see how everyone was doing. Fast forward, the Manila team has grown into a strong number (63 and counting) dedicated, hardworking people.

Fun, Excitement and Surprises

Games added fun and excitement of the event.  L2s Junel Garlan and Ruth Banuelos hosted and very willingly demonstrated the rules of the game. Groups #2 and #1 were proclaimed winners taking away with them cash prizes. There was also the awarding of top performers for the third quarter and cake distribution for birthday celebrants.

Capping off the event was a surprise heartwarming congratulatory message video clip from John Yager and Jessica Hodnick. They, too, shared their experiences with the Sales Ops team. Jessica was teary-eyed and John ended the clip by saying “See you all soon”.

Yes, John, we all do hope to see the both of you real soon.

RPSO Customer Service Week Celebration

By: Jeff Swetland

“The Sales Operations team at RealPage HQ attempted to save the world from an alien invasion last Tuesday at the Logic Escape Room. Robin, Jeff, Chris, Yoric, Kelli and Ross worked furiously to decode the alien messages and prevent them from launching a global attack. The team used color codes, number patterns, black lights and music notes to unlock a hidden room revealing an alien spaceship. Despite their best efforts, time ran out and the aliens enslaved our planet.”

Chico’s Speech:

“One of the biggest communication problem this generation is facing is that we listen not because we wanted to understand but instead, we listen because there is a desire for us to respond.

Communication should be a two way process. However, when we tend to communicate we only listen because we wanted to make sure we can have something to say in return. We even listen because we wanted to find some flaws in what the person is saying, whether it’s about grammar, diction, or pronunciation. We are somewhat becoming a judge to hear mistakes, see mistakes and even laugh about it.

We now miss the true essence of communication itself. Let us always remember that the true essence of communication is to bridge the gap. To make people understand the true message of the person.”

The SalesOps Mother’s Day Special

Mom's Day

by: Anne Jillian Munion

May 10th 2019, the Moms of SalesOps were celebrated and treated to a Mother’s Day dine out. This is to honor and appreciate the lives of our SaleOps moms outside Realpage. Motherhood is a tough job, it comes with great challenges but with so many rewards.

Jessica Lang best quoted it. “The natural state of motherhood is unselfishness. When you become a mother, you are no longer the center of your own universe. You relinquish that position to your children” This is the journey of the mom with her child or children, even when it means taking care of everything day in and day out, from wiping noses, to cleaning, cooking, laundry, taking the kids to school while struggling to balance it with work or other life pressures.

It can really be exhausting. Motherhood is messy and you don’t get sick days off or vacation leave from ‘mommying’. But more than having a perfect house, the perfect body, the perfect planning schedule, the perfect life, what you do dear moms, matters. It feels like failing sometimes, but all the real life motherhood stuff that you do everyday matters. All this giving of yourself over and over is not just because the children depend on you, but because of a mother’s great capacity to care, protect and love. And you know it’s so much worth it. All the sticky kisses, the hugs for no reason, your kid reciting their first prayer, family meals with laughter and conversation, the glorious moment when the child understands something you’ve been trying to teach them, the words I love you from your child, these are moments, mommy humor included – that you just want to freeze in time, and there will be more challenges and golden moments, as you go towards the journey as a mom.

As a mom, I believe that we need to support each other, differences and all. This goes out to the SalesOps dads too. Sometimes it’s as easy as lifting up a co worker’s mood whose having a secret meltdown, because her little ones had a meltdown before she came in to work. We can learn from one another sharing our shortcomings and successes, We can give each other a boost listening to bad days and cheering or actually celebrating the good days with our mom friends!

A huge thanks to SalesOps for supporting and appreciating our moms!

Sales Ops Basketball Tournament 2019

by Christopher Saison

The RealPage Basketball League 2018-2019 Season proved to be the Sales Ops/Books/RUM Opstech combined teams’ greatest year.

Having an unblemished record of 11-0 to take home the trophy. It was not an easy victory for the team battling out with other departments. Last year’s defeat saw a great motivation in pulling out all of the teams effort, along with the “top of the lungs” morale boosting cheer and support of our co-employees made it possible in achieving its greatest feat.

      We truly believe in the saying;

A man is not finished when he is defeated, a man is finished when he quits

EARTH DAY TOP PERFORMERS 2019

Earth Day Celebration with Realpage Family 2019

Erathday

by: Mary Jane Ochoco

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Earth is as important as life. It provides shelter and protection from the sun. It gives us the best air to breathe, a water to drink, a food to eat and most importantly, it has all the requirements for life. That’s why Realpage has teamed up with the Earth day network to pledge a Billion Acts of Green by the year 2020, when the environmentally-celebrated day turns 50. The Sales Ops Department put together an interactive event that our associates participated to show everyone’s own pledge to save the earth.
